Two Airlines
Imagine two airlines.
Airline A: $89 fare. Then $65 a bag. $45 for legroom. $25 for Wi-Fi. $35 to pick your seat. You land $277 lighter and your knees hurt.
Airline B: $230. Bag, meal, real seat, on time, walk off rested.
Americans look at Airline B and say "too expensive." Then fly Airline A and call it a deal.
That's the whole conversation about Denmark.
We don't pay less. We pay less in taxes, then make it up in premiums, copays, tuition, childcare, and a retirement nobody's catching us on. We spend roughly $14,800 per person on healthcare. Denmark spends half that and lives longer.
We're not the country with low costs. We're the country with hidden costs.
Spirit isn't a cheap flight. It just looks like one until you're on it. Also we all saw what happened to Spirit airlines.
