While we're on interesting facts, did you know the United States is the only country that I can find (besides North Korea) that encourages elementary students to pledge allegiance to a flag every day? 

Many countries don't even have a pledge. Many more find it unbelievable that a country has its citizens pledge to a flag. Most Americans find it offensive if you don't.
